It must b d start o d 7th mth accordg to d lunar calendar. I'v seen d believerz burn paper money in designated bins (a rare few stil burnz them on d pedestrian pavemt leavg an unsightly black mark), burng josstix n pokg them on d grd (making it diffcult for ppl to walk coz we'r not supposed to langkah them) n dun 4get d orange, crackerz n watnotz they hav as offeringz.
I dun really care abt them believg tat d gatez o hell open to let loose these spiritz/ghost. I do wonder y they stil cont to burn stuffz when they know tat d ozone is thinning n all d burning juz contributez to d amt o pollutantz in d air. Tis in turn depletez d ozone even further. Tsk.. I wonder if d chinese comm in ctries like australia n america stil practice such acts.
Wateva it is..i wish they'd realise how much harm they'r doin to Earth n stop polluting it in d name o carryg out their belief. At least they shd hav enuf sense not to litter d lift n neighbourhd area. Itz not very neighbourly n definitely doesnt promote a sense o cohesiveness amg multicultural citizens.
