black is one of my fave colours.
black is classic.
black is beautiful.
black is boring... yet it's a mystery.
black is so many things and more.
u shd watch this hindustani movie entitled BLACK. amitabh bachan stars in it. it's a moving story abt a girl who's blind AND deaf (kinda like helen keller) who was taught by a dedicated teacher. he was like a magician to the family and of all the words he taught her, there was one that he didn't: impossible. for someone who doesnt know the meaning of impossible, she overcame all odds and managed to get herself a degree...eventhough it took her thrice as long. in her graduation speech, she mentioned that Black is not a colour of darkness that binds, it is the colour of knowledge, the colour of the graduation robe that the graduates were wearing... (something along those lines) so touching. touching becoz the teacher that taught her, contracted alzheimer's disease n couldn't see her go on stage as he had once promised her. but somehow, eventhough his alzheimer was in the critical stage, she nvr gave up hoping and striving till she managed to make him remember. juz becoz she doesn't know the word impossible n becoz he taught her the true meaning of black.
in life, there's always some black moments. we juz have to rmbr to strive on, persevere, have faith and keep walking towards the light. after all... the brilliance of the fireworks will be underplayed if the dark night didn't provide it with a black backdrop.
