was passing by that area between the mrt stn & bus intchg at eunos when 2 indian guys were chasing each other. the one being chased fell a few metres from me but managed to get up n run w/o being caught. they both ran twds the mrt stn n somehow made a 'U-turn' n came twds the bus intchg again. the one being chased fell again. the chaser caught him but he managed to slip away. the chaser carried on pursuit, occassionally shouting "help me, please" (except that it sounded like "help me, police"). he caught the other guy. the other guy squirmed n tried to get away. his tee came off in the process. the chaser in his attempt not to let the other guy slip away, held that guy by his pants n ... it wasn't a pretty sight to see. lucky the whole pants didnt slip off. the chaser was still shouting "help me, please" but sad to say, nobody stepped fwd to help. i wanted to. but seeing as to how squirmish this other guy was, i juz became a spectator. kalo aku tolong, nanti aku yg terpelanting. =P anyway, an indian lady (who was there since juz now n did kinda run after the 2 guys) came n joined the chaser, saying to whoever was around "please help us". she also took some photos of the other guy (who was being held by the chaser). to the other guy, she said "i call police". finally, a guy came n help hold the fella. another guy also came asking wat happened. apparently (at least according to the lady), the fella is a thief who stole $3000. gosh!!! $3k?!?! that'z a lot a lot alot of moolahs! she even showed the man who asked what happened, a receipt (i assume it's her atm cash w/d receipt). by that time, an smrt staff was there n they all helped to hold the fella. the fella denied the crime. n i walked away. ^^;

i was thinking y the many many man/guys there did not step fwd to help the chaser. is it becoz they're indians? wld they have helped if the chaser is a chinese? or is it simply a case of MYOB? how sad is tat. have we grown into an uncaring society? or mayb we're juz too cautious abt ... i duno...our own safety? if i was a guy, i'd have helped (at least i think i will) hold the guy. i mean, he wasn't even big size. he was juz tall n thin. but the tatoos on his body... fuyoh! so happening!
